WHPC is an award-winning radio station that provides professional broadcasting training to qualified Nassau Community College students.
90.3 WHPC was the ONLY Community College radio station named as a a finalist for the "Best College Radio Station" Marconi Award in 2019 and 2022. The station was named "Best Radio Station" FIVE TIMES in the Fourleaf Best of Long Island awards from 2022-2026, and "Best Community College Radio Station" FIVE TIMES (2019, 2021, 2022, 2024 & 2026) from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System.

NCC & Connoisseur Media Long Island Partnership
Nassau Community College now collaborates with Connoisseur Media Long Island, creating enhanced educational, professional, and community engagement opportunities for students while strengthening connections between higher education and Long Island's media industry.
The collaboration brings together WHPC and Connoisseur Media Long Island, owner and operator of several of the region's leading radio stations, including KJOY 98.3, WALK 97.5, 103.1 The Wolf, 94.3 The Shark, and 104.7 WHLI/1100AM. It is designed to provide students with valuable real-world experiences, professional mentorship, and pathways to careers in broadcasting, marketing, journalism, sales, digital media, and related fields.
