In choosing to continue your education at Nassau Community College, you've made a really smart decision. It's a decision that will enrich your life and reward you in many ways. To help you get the most out of your Nassau experience, we've prepared an informative and enjoyable New Student Orientation program that will ease your transition to college and help you learn about Nassau.

  • Student Orientation is offered online and participation is mandatory for all new students.
  • You must register for classes before you can complete the online Orientation

New Student Orientation is offered in two parts

Part 1: Online Student Orientation

To complete the Online Student Orientation, follow these steps:

  • Login to your MyNCC Portal account at
  • Follow the link for Online Student Orientation that can be found on the main page and on the LAUNCHPAD
  • You will automatically be logged in to start the Online Student Orientation

Part 2: Live Orientation

Interact with fellow new students as well as Orientation Leaders who will be able to answer questions about life at NCC.

Please note that both parts of New Student Orientation are mandatory. Online Orientation–Part 1, can be done at your own pace and there are many session options for the Live Orientation–Part 2.

Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) Information Sessions

During our Information Sessions, you will meet the counselors, test proctors and staff from CSD for a smoother transition to NCC. 
A presentation will be shared on how to obtain your accommodations, the role of your CSD counselor, the process to utilize the CSD Testing Lab and the CSD Support Center, assistive technology, campus activities, a tour of the CSD office, and a Q&A.
The below sessions are for students only.  The Office of Student Activities will be sending information for a parent session in the beginning of the Fall.

Choose one date to attend:

  • Wednesday August 24, 2022 at 10am
  • Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 1pm

We are offering on campus and remote options for the session.
