For the Fall, under the guidance of State and County officials, and placing health and safety first, NCC will provide the majority of courses that can be instructed remotely or online in this format. Courses that have critical components and require face-to-face instruction, including classes with lab components that cannot easily be replicated remotely, will be instructed on-campus in a face-to-face format following appropriate health and safety guidelines and procedures to maintain the safety of the NCC community.

Did you review the program requirement chart to see if you will meet the requirements for your selected program of study? Did you choose an appropriate second choice program?

Most transfer students with a recognized high school diploma will be accepted for admission. Your provided college transcripts will be evaluated, and credit(s) that you earned at another college/university may be applied towards your NCC degree.

Many programs have requirements which must be met before admission can be granted.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS CHART.  Applicants that are ineligible for a selected program will be admitted to an alternate program.  Students may change their major for a future semester after their first semester at NCC.

The Allied Health Sciences programs and Nursing have specific deadlines that must be met.  The deadlines are listed below, and all required documentation must be submitted to the Office of Admissions by the indicated date.  Please refer to the Programs and Admissions Requirements Chart for more information pertaining to the required documentation.

  1. Medical Laboratory Technician: March 27, 2019
  2. Nursing: October 11, 2019 (Spring admission), March 13, 2019 (Fall admission) 
  3. Physical Therapist Assistant: February 28, 2020
  4. Radiation Therapy Tech: January 30, 2020
  5. Radiologic Technology: January 30, 2020
  6. Respiratory Care: March 6, 2020
  7. Surgical Technology: March 2, 2020

If a deadline falls on a weekend, applications and all supporting credentials are accepted through the following Monday.

Submit required documents as soon as possible.

All transfer applicants will be required to submit official and sealed transcripts from every college they attended. Transfer students will be required to submit their official and sealed high school transcripts, unless they have a Bachelors or Associates degree.

You will also be notified by mail and your personal email account of the academic records and other information we need to complete your application. It is your responsibility to provide requested materials. Do so as soon as possible! You can also check the status of your application go to MyNCC. You will need your NCC Student ID which will be mailed to you. Your password is your date of birth (mmddyy).

Please note, Nassau Community College reserves the right to request an applicant complete a third party evaluation for academic documents from outside of the Unites States. The evaluation company must be members of AACRAO, NAFSA, NACES, AICE, ATA and Better Business Bureau.

If you need to take one or more sections of the college’s Placement test, the Admissions Office will notify you through your personal email. Learn more about these exams.

Check mark Immunization records:

If you were born on or after 1/1/1957, and are registering for six or more credits, New York State requires you to submit proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) in order to secure your registration for classes. You must also submit the required NYS meningitis survey. Go to Health Services to learn more.

Check mark Paying for college!

All new students are strongly encouraged to file for Federal Student Aid) at fafsa.ed.gov. By completing these forms, you may be eligible for federal and state grants, loans and college work-study.
