Stay on Long Island Scholarships (SOLI)

Nassau Community College has partnered with ten local 4-year colleges to create the Stay on Long Island Scholarship (SOLI) for outstanding students.

NCC Students with a current GPA of 3.75 or higher who are graduating in December 2025 or May 2026 are eligible to apply.  Students who are graduating in December 2025 cannot be enrolled in another 4-year college in Spring 2026.  S

Applications are available below.  Each student can apply to as many schools as they wish (separate application for each school).

The SOLI scholarship recipients must attend on a full-time basis (12 credit minimum) for consecutive Fall and Spring semesters and maintain a GPA of 3.0.  Scholarships apply to Fall and Spring semesters only, and are limited to four consecutive semesters.  The scholarship applies to tuition only, and doees not apply to program fees, college fees, books, or room and board.  Students are required to file FAFSA each year they are enrolled.

Completed SOLI applications, including letters of recommendation and essays, must be submitted by Friday, March 6, 2026.  Students are encouraged to submit their applications electronically to: SOLI@ncc.edu. Additionally, students must have applied to the schools they are submitting SOLI scholarship applications to prior to March 1, 2026.  Contact Transfer Counseling with questions about how to apply to these schools - 516.572.7696.

Each school will contact the winners of the scholarships directly by April 30, 2026.
