Are you an International Student?

This application is for an applicant who wishes to obtain an F1 visa or status and maintain it to engage in academic study in the U.S. If you wish to study at NCC with an F1 visa or status, you can proceed.

Please note that you are not allowed to attend school with a B1/B2 visa. If you are currently in the U.S. with a visa other than an F1 visa and would like to change your current status to an F1 status, you must contact the Office of International Education for an appointment first. Please call 516-572-7053 or email us at isaoff@ncc.edu for an appointment. Once you are determined to be eligible to apply for a change of status, you can proceed with this application.

Secondary Education:

Original high school diploma and official high school transcript or certificate of examination results for some cases (e.g. CXC’s, BAC1&2, GCSE, EDEXEL). Official translations required.

TOEFL scores meeting requirements and within 18 months of application are accepted as proof of English proficiency for acceptance to degree programs.

Post-secondary Education:

Official transcripts from U.S. colleges and/or universities attended are required to be sent directly to the office of International Education. Official college or university transcripts from outside the U.S. will need to include an evaluation by a professional evaluation agency.

Please note, Nassau Community College reserves the right to request an applicant complete a third party evaluation for academic documents from outside of the United States. We are accepting Institute of foreign credential services and agencies under NACES such as ECE, Spantran, WES, etc.

If you were born on or after 1/1/1957, and are registering for six or more credits, New York State requires you to submit proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) in order to secure your registration for classes. You must also submit the required NYS meningitis survey.

DO NOT purchase a private health insurance plan in or outside the United States. It is MANDATORY to purchase Health Insurance through NCC. You will be automatically enrolled in SUNY Student Health Plan after registration.
