Nassau Community College Center for Catholic Studies

Garden City, NY - The Nassau Community College Center for Catholic Studies will sponsor a lecture by Catholic scholar George Weigel on "The Secularization of European Civilization" on Saturday, March 31 in the College Center Building at 1:00 p.m.

George Weigel is an internationally known Catholic scholar and writer affiliated with the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Ethics and Public Policy. His lecture at Nassau is based on his recent book The Cube and the Cathedral: Europe, America, and Politics Without God. A prolific author, Weigel has produced many important works including Witness to Hope: The Biography of Pope John Paul II, Letters to a Young Catholic and The Courage to Be Catholic.
