I am currently employed as a registrar in the Emergency Room at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where I obtain patients’ demographic and insurance information. Due to COVID-19 however, my team and I have helped out in other ways, too--from Environmental Services, to Hospitality, and even at times as patient care representatives. NCC has prepared me for today with knowledge about the human body and its functions. It has shown me how to challenge myself.
After working eight to 16 hrs per shift, five days a week no one wants to think about school or assignments. But when I logged into my Zoom and saw my fellow students up and ready for class despite the circumstances there was no way I was going to miss any of my classes. As a proud Health Information Technology (HIT) student I can say that NCC's faculty and students have motivated me to continue on despite the challenges that may arise.

Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
