Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning
Mission
To collect, analyze, organize and effectively communicate data and information in a timely manner that supports institutional decision-making to actualize and fulfill the College’s mission.
Goals
- Increase the availability and use of qualitative and quantitative data to support decision-making and strategic planning across the college.
- Provide timely information to decision makers and planners as they direct and allocate resources that support the institution’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Collect, store, maintain, and disseminate institutional information as a means to promote work and dialogue pertaining to student learning and student success.
Support Outcomes
- Fully implement Helio Campus for academic and AES assessment
- Launch a searchable standard operating procedures (SOP) repository accessible to members of the college community
- Develop and implement a suite of dashboards/reports to support the college's Student Success Working Group
- Revamp the College's IRB processes and procedures, including traning and protocal submission
Essential Functions
Assessment
Lead assessment activities of faculty, administrators and staff, to ensure these actions
are aligned with the college and SUNY’s mission and strategic plan.
Data governance
Support institutional practices that enhance the college’s data infrastructure.
Data management
Ensure data accuracy, quality and availability.
Decision support
Provide data and analysis to internal stakeholders to foster a culture of evidence-based
decision-making.
External reporting and compliance
Maintain compliance with federal, state and other regulatory bodies.
Institutional effectiveness
Establish and maintain a system of institutional effectiveness that promotes continuous
improvement and sustainability.
Research
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support key institutional priorities.
Strategic planning
Support strategic planning efforts through metrics development, measurement, and communication
of progress.
