NCC Presents the
Spring 2020 Cultural Program

Program Highlights Include Discussions on the Impeachment Trial of Donald Trump, Sex Trafficking in Nassau County, Russian Hackers Targeting American Veterans, and more

Garden City, NY (March 3, 2020) – Nassau Community College (NCC) will host a variety of engaging discussions, educational workshops and performances throughout March and April as part of its Spring 2020 Cultural Program. All events are free, open to the public, and will be held on the Nassau Community College campus, College Center Building, Room 252/253.

A Discussion led by former Republican Congressman and current columnist for The Hill, John LeBoutillier and former legislative director for United States Democratic Senator Carl Levin, Chuck Cutolo.

Are Russian Hackers Targeting American Veterans?

Associate Director for Policy and Governmental Affairs at Vietnam Veterans of America and Nassau Community College alumnus Kris Goldsmith will discuss his recent report, “Hijacking our Heroes.” The report details the extent of Russian and other hackers exploiting veterans and their families through disinformation on social media.

HEDY! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr

This one-woman show, written and performed by Heather Massie, is a true story of Hollywood glamour and scientific genius.

Abandoning the White Nationalist Movement

Once considered the “heir” to the white supremacist movement, Derek Black renounced the movement several years ago. His father is the founder of the white supremacist website Stormfront, and his godfather is the infamous KKK leader David Duke. Black will talk about his experience growing up within the white nationalist movement, how people become involved in it, and how to combat it.
