Immediate: September 17, 2019
Garden City, NY – The Department of Theatre and Dance at Nassau Community College will present the romantic comedy Almost, Maine at the Mainstage Theatre October 11-13 and 16-20.
Almost, Maine is a play by John Cariani, comprising nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine (so far north it’s almost in Canada). It premiered at the Portland Stage Company in Portland, Maine in 2004 where it broke box office records and garnered critical acclaim. The characters in the play fall in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Almost, Maine has proven popular in professional and nonprofessional theatre companies worldwide.
Performances of Almost, Maine will be at 8:00 p.m. on October 11-12 and 16-19 and 3:00 p.m. on October 13 and 20. Tickets are $10 per person, discounted to $8.00 for seniors 55 and over, students and veterans. For more information, call the Theatre box office at 516.572.7676 Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., except on College holidays.
