Bryce Mack of Uniondale Elected Student Government President of Nassau Community College for the 2019-20 Academic Year  bryce mack

Garden City, NY – Uniondale resident Bryce Mack has been elected the Student Government Association (SGA) president at Nassau Community College for the 2019-2020 academic year. The 20 year-old sophomore is a liberal arts major at NCC.

During his term as SGA president, Mack hopes to improve communication amongst the various student populations and clubs at the College, and let all students know more about things that are happening at NCC. “NCC is such a great College with so many events and programs both inside and outside the classroom that I’d love for all students to get involved and take advantage of what is offered to them,” he said, adding that he looks forward to meeting more of his fellow students.

When he came to Nassau from Holy Trinity High School, Mack was especially pleased at the caliber of faculty who teach at the College. “The classes themselves are great, and the professors are always willing to go out of their way for you and even put you in contact others who can be of assistance,” he said. Mack added that both his grandmother and aunt attended NCC.

After graduating from NCC, Mack plans to continue his education and then pursue a career in politics. “When I was seven years old I used to watch the news on TV with my grandmother. I would think about how I wanted to go into politics so that I could speak for people who don’t have a voice of their own,” he said, describing the motivation for his career choice.

In addition to being a sophomore senator and then the SGA vice president this year, Mack was an orientation leader and tour guide and competed on the wrestling team at NCC. In his spare time he enjoys listening to music and practicing martial arts.
