Nassau Community College Presents the Comedy Moon Over Buffalo

March 21-24; 27-31

Garden City, NY – The Nassau Community College Department of Theatre and Dance will present the comedy Moon Over Buffalo March 21-24 and 27-31 at the Little Theatre.

Comic genius Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor), created this laugh-a-minute show, set in 1953. Moon Over Buffalo centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950s.   On the brink of a split up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they receive word that they might have one last chance at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee, and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless finance and much uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf, old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body. All of this makes for a hilarious evening of mayhem.

Moon Over Buffalo will be performed at 8:00pm. Sunday matinee shows begin at 3:00pm.   Tickets cost $9.00 per person, $7.00 for seniors 55 and over, high school students and veterans.   Tickets are free for college students with a valid I.D. Wednesday through Friday ($5.00 Saturday and Sunday). For more information or to order tickets, call 516.572.7676 Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
