Nassau Community College Presents
Dimensions in Dance:  2018 Dance Concert

December 14-16, 2018

Garden City, NY — The 2018 Dance Concert: Dimensions in Dance at Nassau Community College will be performed Friday and Saturday, December 14 and 15 at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 16, at 3:00 p.m., at the Mainstage Theatre on the NCC campus.  Performed by students, the concert will feature contemporary dance and ballet pieces with choreography by Professors Paz Tanjuaquio and Evelina Balassanian, along with student works.

Prof. Tanjuaquio is a dance artist based in NYC since 1990 whose works have received awards from National Endowment for the Arts, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and Dance/NYC.  Her works have been presented throughout New York, as well as nationally and internationally.  Prof. Tanjuaquio is the Co-Founder of TOPAZ ARTS in Queens – a nonprofit arts center for contemporary dance and visual arts.  Prof. Balassanian, an Armenian, has performed professionally as a soloist and lead dancer in classical and modern ballets with major dancers, teachers and choreographers, including George Balanchine, John Buttler and Nicholas Briazoff.

Performances of the 2018 Dance Concert: Dimensions in Dance are at 8:00 p.m., except on Sundays, when they are at 3:00 p.m.  Tickets are $9.00, discounted to $7.00 for those aged 55 and over.  Children under the age of 18 pay $5.00, while college students with a valid I.D. are let in free.  The theatre box office can be reached at 516.572.7676 Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., except on College holidays.
