Literature Live! at Nassau Community College Welcomes Mexican Poets Dolores Dorantes and Laura Solorzano and Poet and Translator Jen Hofer

Garden City, NY — The Literature Live! program at Nassau Community College will welcome Mexican poets Dolores Dorantes and Laura Solorzano to the campus on Monday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bradley Hall Ballroom. The poets, along with poet and translator Jen Hofer, will read from their work in both Spanish and English.

 Dolores Dorantes was born in Cordoba and has lived in Ciudad Juarez for the past 20 years. Her published books include the work sexoPUROsexoVELOZ. Laura Solorzano, who is a native of Guadalajara, is the author, most recently, of Boca perdida. Jen Hofer’s most recent work is a translation of lobo de labio, published as lip wolf.

Literature Live! is the reading series of The Creative Writing Project of Nassau Community College, which invites nationally and internationally acclaimed authors to share their work and experiences. This event is co-sponsored by the NCC Women's Studies Department.
