Garden City, NY The Creative Writing Project at Nassau Community College and the NCC English Department are proud to present noted author Barry Wallenstein, who will read from his book A Measure of Conduct on April 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bradley Hall Ballroom.

Barry Wallenstein is the author of five collections of poetry including A Measure of Conduct and Visions & Revisions: The Poets' Practice. His poetry has appeared in over 100 journals in the U.S. and abroad, in such publications as Ploughshares, The New York Times and American Poetry Review. Wallenstein is an Emeritus Professor of Literature and Creative Writing at the City University of New York and is also editor of American Book Review. He is especially interested in the performance of poetry with jazz collaboration and has made six recordings of his poetry with jazz. When he reads his poetry on April 10, he will be joined by keyboardist Adam Birnbaum.
