August 18, 2025, Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College is excited to be the location for the second annual Child Care Community Expo on Saturday, August 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the College Center Building.
The Child Care Community Expo, an event for school-aged children, will feature OCFS (Office of Child and Family Services)-approved training for child care providers, as well as activities, resources, parent workshops, a meet and greet with local children’s book authors, and a Back-to-School supplies giveaway for school-aged children. Community partners will also be present.
The Expo is organized by the Garden City-based Child Care Council of Nassau, in partnership with the New York City-based New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute. Participants can also nominate a provider for the 2025 Child Care Council of Nassau Recognition Award at the same link for a chance to win prizes, resources, and supplies for their business. Three winners will be chosen and announced at the expo. Providers must be present.
