Exceptional NCC Faculty Honored at Faculty Recognition Awards

May 8, 2025, Garden City, NY – Every year, the Applied Learning Committee at Nassau Community College recognizes faculty for their exceptional service in Student Activities, Service-learning, Clinical or internship experiences, Community service, Civic engagement, Research, Creative works, or Fundraising.  This year, 14 NCC faculty members received this prestigious honor. 

"The Faculty Recognition Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of our faculty in high-impact areas, showcasing their dedication to student learning and success at Nassau Community College," Prof. Nicole Schiffmacher, Chair of the Applied Learning Committee said.

This year’s honorees are Prof. Thomas Bruckner (Mathematics/Computer Science/Information Technology); Prof. Frances Calleo (Student Personnel Services); Prof. Susan Cushman (English); Prof. Valerie Fasanello (English); Prof. Darshna Katwala (English); Prof. Slavka Kleger (Allied Health Sciences); Prof. John D. Lin (Communications); Prof. Michael Mullen (Art); Prof. Adrienne Nocella (Mathematics/Computer Science/Information Technology); Prof. Michelle Seufert (Student Personnel Services); Prof. Jacquelynn Taylor (Allied Health Sciences); Prof. Marcy Eager Wolfson (Social and Behavioral Science); and Prof. Jolie Zangari (Accounting and Business Administration).
