Future Stars Summer Camps, High School Enrichment, Workforce Development Programs
& Over 500 Credited Summer Courses in a Wide Selection of Subjects

 May 31, 2023, Garden City, NY — Nassau Community College offers individuals of all ages an opportunity to advance their education this summer.

Future Stars Summer Camps
Future Stars Summer Camps at Nassau Community College offers more than 15 programs and 8 weekly sessions (June 26 – August 18) Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (extended hours 7:15 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.) for campers entering Pre-K through 12th grade. Programs include STEAM, Art, Dance, Magic and Sports. For more information visit FSCamps.com or call 516.268.CAMP.

High School Enrichment
Through the NCC High School Enrichment Program, the College offers students who have completed their sophomore year (10th grade) the opportunity to explore areas of interest and earn college credit this summer.  For Summer 2023, NCC is offering Nursing 100-Introduction to Nursing July 10-13 from 9:20 a.m.-12:45 p.m. or August 7-10 from 9:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. For more information, please call the College’s Admissions Office at 516.572.7346.

Long Island Writing Project (LIWP) Teen Summer Writing Workshop
The LIWP Teen Summer Writing Project at Nassau Community College guides teens in writing about their lives, experiences, and hopes for the future. Working in a creative workshop setting, participants will tell their stories through personal essays, fiction, non-fiction, as well as poetry. The workshop runs daily from June 26 through June 29 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and is open to students entering 8th grade – 12th grade in September 2023. Children’s Greenhouse
The Children's Greenhouse at Nassau Community College is open for Summer 2023 and provides childcare for students, staff and faculty. Children between the ages of eight weeks and five years of age are offered a full range of activities that correspond to the season. For example, outdoor water play, sprinklers and water tables are offered during July. Student-parents are permitted to use the childcare center for face-to-face, remote or online classes and for work time as well. Eligible student-parents can apply for subsidies that will help pay the cost of childcare. Parents who are not already registered may apply by contacting the office at 516.572.7614.

Workforce Development – Non-Credit Courses & Certificate Programs
NCC offers high school students, college students, adult students and life-long learners the opportunity to advance their skillsets with over a dozen non-credit courses including EKG, Pharmacy Technician, Court Interpreter, Maintenance Technician and the Google Suite (Data Analytics, IT Support, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce, UX Design, Project Management), among others. Summer Session Credited Courses
Registration for more than 500 evening, weekend and online summer class sections in wide selection of subjects is open at Nassau Community College. Affordable courses are offered in both an online and face-to-face format and open to all current NCC students, new and visiting students. Visit www.ncc.edu/summer for admission and registration information. A listing of classes is available by clicking on the “Class Schedule” link. Summer Session classes began May 30 and run until August 23 with three different sessions available.
