Contemporary Dance Workshop

Oct 19 - 7pm
Instructor: Nicole Speletic
In this workshop we will warm up and prepare the body to move fully and freely. 
Then we will focus on creative, dynamic full dance sequences, 
playing with musicality, rhythm and counterpoint
using movement to communicate and express various moods and feelings about individual and shared human experiences. 

Bachata Dance Workshop

Oct 26 - 7pm
Instructor: Jessica Marra
Bachata is one of the hottest dances - sexy hip motion, compelling rhythms, intricate arm movements. Learn the exciting dance in this fun, challenging and empowering workshop 

Modern Dance Workshop

Nov 1 - 7pm
Instructor: Nancy Brier
This workshop emphasizes moving with strength, flow and musicality through a style based on Limon technique. Following a center warm up focused on healthful alignment, students dance phrases exploring their creativity and passion to move.

West African Dance Workshop

Nov 8 - 7pm
Instructor: Danielle Criss
With live drumming, this class will teach you the fundamentals of traditional West African dance with an emphasis on musicality, traditions and various dance techniques of Africa. 

Pilates Workshop

Nov 9 - 7pm
Instructor: Edna Gruvman
Mat-based Pilates class focuses on strength, stability, posture, breath control and flexibility. 

Dance for Musical Theatre Workshop

Nov 16 - 7pm
Instructor: Miriam Hertzson
This is a workshop of dance and performance skills as they relate to musical theatre dance. There will be an attentiveness to style and focus on using dance as a storytelling method.

Ballet Workshop

Nov 30 - 7pm
Instructor: Evelina Balassanian
This classical ballet workshop is based on Vaganova and Cecchetti style and it is the backbone of many dance techniques. Ballet is an art form created by the movements and positions of the arms, feet and body starting from Barre to Center.  In helping your posture, focus, balance, students are also strengthening muscles, promoting healthy bones and improving concentration and self-confidence.
