Nassau Community College to Hold Virtual SUNY Reconnect Information Session August 12
SUNY Reconnect Enables Eligible New Yorkers to Attend Community College for Free 

July 30, 2026, Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College, part of the State University of New York (SUNY), will host a virtual information session about the SUNY Reconnect program on Wednesday, August 12, 2026,from 6–8 p.m. over Zoom.

SUNY Reconnect offers eligible New Yorkers ages 25 to 55 who have not yet earned a college degree the opportunity to attend community college tuition-free while pursuing an associate degree in select high-demand fields. The SUNY Reconnect program covers the costs of tuition and fees for eligible programs after all other financial aid is applied. Book and supply costs are also supported. Students must enroll in at least six credits per semester and complete their degree within ten semesters.

During the information session, prospective students will learn about program eligibility, available degree options, the admissions process, financial support, and the career opportunities available through SUNY Reconnect. 

NCC staff will also be available to answer questions and assist attendees with the next steps toward enrollment.
