October 6, 2025, Garden City, NY – The NEST, Nassau Community College’s on-campus food bank, has partnered with the New York Mets and Stop & Shop to provide guests with a farmer’s market on Tuesday, October 7, at 11:30 a.m. The market will be open until 1:30 p.m.
On October 7, food trucks from Stop & Shop, and Citifield will arrive at the Nest with deliveries of strawberries, apples, tomatoes, peaches, spinach, and snacks to set up a farmer’s market for guests. NEST volunteers will assist in setting up and giving out the produce.
The NEST is grateful to its partners at the New York Mets and Stop & Shop for their generosity and looks forward to an ongoing relationship.
