June 16, 2025, Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College joins community colleges across the state in offering SUNY Reconnect – free community college for eligible adult New Yorkers.
New Yorkers 25–55 years old without a college degree who enroll in an eligible full-time or part-time associate degree program may participate in SUNY Reconnect. The program, starting in Fall 2025, provides free tuition, fees, books, and supplies for adults ages 25-55 who don't already have a college degree and pursue an associate’s degree in a high-demand field. Students must take a minimum of six credits per semester and complete their degree within ten semesters.
Through SUNY Reconnect, community colleges will hold information sessions this summer to assist all who are interested in eligible degree programs. More information about Nassau’s program is available at ncc.edu/freeCC.
Eligible programs include cybersecurity, medical assistant, information technology, and more.
