Leaders Award Winners for 2025

Seven Students Selected for Award

May 19, 2025, Garden City, NY – Seven students from Nassau Community College were presented with the Outstanding Student Leader Award at the recent Student Awards ceremony.

The seven Outstanding Student Leader Award winners for 2025 are Daniel Wiesehahn of Farmingdale, Rajiv Vakani of Williston Park, Alexus Heiserman of Hempstead, Jordon Groom of Glen Cove, Kareemah Best of Brooklyn, Anayah Isaacs-Ali of North Baldwin, and Jessialy Avilez of Rochester.

The Outstanding Student Leader Award is given to students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA and 42 Credit hours (or the equivalent) completed with no more than 20 transfer credits who holds an Executive Board or a Team Captain/Leader position and has made significant contributions to student activities or athletics in this position.

Nassau Community College congratulates these students on their achievement.
