PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
(Uniondale, NY & Garden City, NY May 8, 2025)
The New York Dragons have reached an agreement with Nassau Community College to have all 2025 home and away games broadcast on WHPC 90.3 FM, the school’s on-campus radio station. WHPC will be the official home for all Dragons regular season and playoff games along with a weekly half-hour Dragons radio show.
“We’re excited to have our games broadcast on WHPC this season,” said New York Dragons General Manager Peter Schwartz. “This is a partnership that delivers for everyone involved including our fans, our organization and the Nassau Community College community. My college radio experience helped me launch my career in sports, so I’m thrilled to be working with WHPC on these broadcasts and to help mentor future professional broadcasters and producers.”
In addition to the 90.3 FM signal, WHPC streams on-line at www.NCCradio.org as well as the WHPC, Audacy, iHeartRadio and Tunein apps, and is available by asking smart speakers to “Play WHPC.” The Dragons broadcasts and weekly Dragons show will be produced by WHPC student broadcasters who will also serve as the on-air talent for play-by-play, analyst and sideline reporter.
“I am so excited to be bringing the inaugural season of the return of Arena Football and the New York Dragons to the airwaves exclusively on WHPC,” said Shawn Novatt, WHPC’s Faculty Director. “Thank you to General Manager Peter Schwartz for trusting our educational mission and giving this amazing opportunity to the students at Nassau Community College. Go Dragons!”
The Dragons will open their first ENTFLA season, at home, on Saturday June 14th against the New Jersey Ciphers at Nassau Coliseum.
2025 New York Dragons season and group tickets are now on sale. Individual tickets will go on sale in May. For more information and to place a deposit on season tickets, please visit www.nydragonsfootball.com.
