Nassau Community College Marketing Students Participate
in Roosevelt Field 'Runway to Runway’ Fashion Show

May 1, Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College students were excited to participate in the Roosevelt Field ‘Runway to Runway’ fashion show on Saturday, April 26.  The show celebrated the intersection of aviation heritage and contemporary fashion.

"We were proud to participate in the ‘Runway to Runway’ Spring Fashion Show,” said Dr. Glynis Pereyra, Dean of Instruction in the Office of Academic Affairs.  The show was a wonderful opportunity for our students to apply concepts learned in the classroom to real-world practice.  We are grateful to our community partners at Roosevelt Field for their ongoing support of our students and fashion programs."

According to Prof. Lea Gennaro, whose Marketing students participated in the show, the students had the opportunity to prepare for the show and work backstage during the event.  They considered it to be a special chance to work at an actual marketing/retailing event.

‘Runway to Runway’ celebrated the past, present, and future of Roosevelt Field.  In addition to the fashion show, it featured exhibits and displays that chronicled Roosevelt Field's contributions to the advancement of aviation, as well as its role in shaping the surrounding community.
