Nassau Community College to Host the First Ever
Muslim Lights Fest on Long Island March 22 and 23

 March 18, 2024, Garden City, NY – In celebration of Ramadan, Nassau Community College will be the site of Long Island’s first ever Muslim Lights Fest on March 22 and 23 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.  The Muslim Lights Fest is an annual celebration held to illuminate the spirit of diversity and unity within the Muslim community. Officially called Halal Guide Suhoor Fest 2024, the event will include decorations, a market and multiple halal vendors.

Among the features of the Muslim Lights Fest will be a display of lanterns, intricate textiles and pottery showcasing the artistry within the Muslim community, and an array of Middle Eastern and Asian treats. The fest is a celebration of the shared human experience.
