The Confucius institute of Business was established in December 2010. It is a partnership between the State University of New York (SUNY), The Confucius Institute Headquarters in China (Hanban), and the Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE). Said Prof. Steve Levine, Coordinator of the Confucius Institute of Business, “I am honored to serve as liaison between the CIB and NCC, so that we can develop synergies between the two countries’ businesses and collaborate on best practices and methodologies which will enhance commerce, both locally and globally.”
The mission of the CIB is to integrate the study of Chinese language and culture and how to connect this learning to the Chinese and global marketplaces. In turn, the CIB partners with the United States to deliver a program customized to the skills and knowledge required to meet both countries’ business goals.
