I chose to go to college at Nassau Community College because I wanted to go to a college that was close to home and Nassau was an affordable option for me. Despite being online, I have still been able to stay active on campus and connect with people virtually, which has made my experience so enjoyable thus far.
The President of SGA, Natalie, went to the same high school as me and reached out to tell me about student government. I decided to get involved because I thought it would be a great way to amplify my voice and become active on campus. My SGA experience has been great so far! Being a part of student government has given me the opportunity to meet great people and be a part of different groups and teams.
My favorite memory at NCC so far was when I co-moderated an Evening Activity Hour deliberative dialogue with the civics group that I belong to.

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
