How do I create my E-mail account?
All incoming students starting in Spring 2009 will be automatically given a E-mail account.

Your full Student E-mail address is:

NCC-ID@students.ncc.edu -OR- FirstName.LastName@students.ncc.edu

Please Note: Some students may have the same first and last names. In this special case a two digit number is added to the last name. (e.g. John.Doe02@students.ncc.edu)

What is MyNCC E-mail Password?
Your email password is your six-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) from MyNCC-Banner. If your current PIN does not work when trying to activate your account, use instead the original assigned default PIN (your date of birth in MMDDYY format).

If you are unable to login to your E-mail account please check and see if any Internet security, firewall, anti-virus, or pop-up blocking software is installed on your computer. Also try clearing out your Internet cache and cookies

Double check the spelling of the recipients e-mail address and make sure you haven’t changed the default E-mail settings for your account.

How do I log in to my E-mail account?
Students can access their Google Apps account by either going directly to the login screen to address http://mail.students.ncc.edu  or http://www.ncc.edu/StudentEmail , then click on the Student E-mail Login button.

Who is eligible to obtain a E-mail account?
Currently, this service is available to currently enrolled students automatically. We are not opening this service up to Faculty and Staff at this time.

How can I locate the e-mail address of a faculty or staff member?
The faculty and staff directory is located at http://www.ncc.edu/About/CampusDirectory.htm . Once the address located in the directory, simply cut and paste the address into your webmail "To:" field. Gmail will remember who you've sent to in the past so you will only need to do this once per contact.

How do I change my E-mail password?
After you login to your e-mail account, click on Settings in the upper right. Next click on Accounts, then Change Password.

What services are included in my E-mail account?
The current suite of services offered includes: Mail, Calendar, Docs, and Talk. As Google develops new tools, Nassau and Google will collaborate to bring them to you.

What options do I have for accessing email?
The primary option is  - http://mail.students.ncc.edu or http://www.ncc.edu/StudentEmail

IMAP:

Configuring instructions are very similar to Gmail. In your mail client, anytime you're asked for an email address, enter your username followed by @students.ncc.edu(N00322001@students.ncc.edu).The incoming server is still imap.gmail.com and outgoing server is smtp.gmail.com. For more client-specific instructions, such as Outlook Express, visit

MobileConnect to the web:

Enter
http://mail.google.com/a/mail.students.ncc.edu , and select OK. Bookmark the location for later. If you have a BlackBerry, you can download the mail application. Navigate to http://m.google.com/a . It has most of the webmail features - search and conversation view. With automatic syncing, actions taken on your Blackberry are reflected in your email account. This is separate from the Gmail for mobile application. A red M icon will appear for Gmail and a blue M icon will appear for our Google Apps email.

How do I enable my Browser's cookie functionality?
If you're seeing a message that your browser's cookie functionality is turned off, it's possible that you don't have cookies enabled in your browser. Go to Address, http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416

I cannot login with my Password and I see a picture with random letters
If you're seeing an image similar to the one below it's because you've entered a wrong password or username multiple times.  You'll need to enter the correct Username, Password AND the letters you see below.

If your name and/or email address is incorrect or misspelled please open a Help Desk Ticket and select "Incorrect/Misspelled Name" under the "Which best describes your problem" drop down box.
