Student Financial Affairs provides various financial services to students, parents and other members of the Nassau Community College community. Our department is responsible for:
- Billing and collection of all College tuition and fees
- Administration of the College’s Tuition Payment Plan
- Processing of Certificates of Residency submitted by students meeting New York State residency requirements and currently residing in counties other than Nassau County
- Disbursement of state and federal student aid, including grants, loans and scholarships
- Third party billing for tuition sponsorship
- Calculation and processing of student refunds
- Coordination and distribution of IRS Form 1098T
- Referral of delinquent student accounts to outside collection agencies
- Placement of ‘impound’ on past due students’ accounts and removal of ‘impound’ upon satisfaction of obligation
We are located in the Administrative Tower, 5th Floor.
Our office hours are: Monday through Friday–8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. For your convenience, our staff members are also available Monday through Thursday evenings, 4:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the Bursar’s Office, Administrative Tower, Lower Level.
