Firehouse Art Gallery Hosts Student Art Competition & Exhibition, through August 5
The Firehouse Art Gallery at Nassau Community College is running its annual competition and exhibition of works by students from the NCC Art Department. The exhibition runs from April 30 through August 5.  The competition includes painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphic designs and mixed media work. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Catholic Studies Presents "Communicating the Truth About the Perils and Promises of the Contemporary Biotech Revolution: A Crucial Task for the Catholic Community," Saturday, June 21, 11 a.m., College Center Building
Keynote speaker Rick Hinshaw, editor of the Long Island Catholic newspaper, will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr. Jane Gilroy, president of the Long Island Chapter of University Faculty for Life; Dr. Debra Hanna, R.N., Assistant Professor of Nursing at Molloy College; and the Rev. Monsignor Robert J. Batule, Diocese of Rockville Centre.
