The Nassau Community College
Department of Theatre and Dance Presents:

Fat Pig, a Play by Neil LaBute

April 26 – 29; May 2 – 6

Garden City, NY –The Nassau Community College Department of Theatre and Dance presents Fat Pig, a play that will run April 26 through April 29 and May 2 through May 6 at the Little Theatre.

Written by Neil LaBute, Fat Pig is the story of the romance between an attractive guy with an upscale career and an amply endowed, Rubenesque woman. There are laughs galore in the play, but in addition to entertaining, they jog the audience into thinking more deeply about the attitude that equates super-thin, athletic and youthful looks with success–an obsession that has made multi-millionaires out of diet doctors and surgeons doing plastic surgery and weight loss procedures. Can the upwardly mobile man take the heat? Can true love overcome the sideways glances from strangers and the sneers of 'friends'? Fat Pig explores these issues.

Performances of Fat Pig are Sundays at 3:00 p.m. and every other day at 8:00 p.m. Tickets cost $9.00, discounted to $7.00 for senior citizens and free for college students with a valid I.D. For more information, or to order tickets, please call the Theatre Box Office, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at 516-572-7676.
