Take the General Educational Development Test (GED) at Nassau Community College! At the present time, there is no fee for the GED exam.
GED Exam Eligibilities

Must be a New York State resident for at least one month prior to testing date.

Must be 19 years of age on the day of testing.

Those who are 17 or 18 may be able to test with the following eligibilities and proper documentation:

If they have been out of school for one full year (attachment B)
-
If they are a member of a high school class that has already graduated (attachment B)

If they are enrolled in an approved high school equivalency prep program (AHSEP) (attachment C)
-
If they have been home schooled
Registration Information Walk-ins to the exam are not accepted. Registration is by mail only. Applicants are registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
