Take the General Educational Development Test (GED) at Nassau Community College!   At the present time, there is no fee for the GED exam.

GED Exam Eligibilities

• Must be a New York State resident for at least one month prior to testing date.

• Must be 19 years of age on the day of testing.

• Those who are 17 or 18 may be able to test with the following eligibilities and proper documentation:

• If they have been out of school for one full year (attachment B)

• If they are a member of a high school class that has already graduated  (attachment B)

• If they are enrolled in an approved high school equivalency prep program  (AHSEP) (attachment C)

• If they have been home schooled

Registration Information
Walk-ins to the exam are not accepted.  Registration is by mail only.
Applicants are registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
