    Do Not Delay Registration

Please visit  MyNCC to get updated information and to search the Class Schedule or Course Catalog online. Registration is based on student type and whether a student may self-serve or see an advisor. Delaying registration reduces student course availability.

If you delay your registration, whether you register online or in person, it will result in fewer course options available. You will receive Advisement and Registration information in the mail. If you are a new or a returning student after an absence from the college, you will be invited to register after your application has been processed or after you are readmitted for the Spring 2010 semester. After December 5th, you must report to the Admissions Office in person for late admissions options. When a deadline falls on a weekend, the following Monday will constitute the deadline.

    How do you register?

    Self-Serve Registration

If you do not have to take any remedial courses and you are not attending Nassau for the first time, you may be able to register online. You should meet with an academic advisor before you register. Although it is not required, it is highly recommended to ensure that you are taking the correct courses for your program of study. This is very important particularly if you receive financial aid. Any course work not required in your program will not be covered by financial aid. You can drop into the Advisement Center or visit the Advisement Center’s website for hours of operation if you are Liberal Arts major. If you are in a particular program, see someone in that department. Once your credit priority comes up (based on the number of credits already earned), you may log in and register.

There is a video tutorial on how to register online in MyNCC/Banner.

    Mandatory Advisement prior to Registration

If you are a new student and/or an Allied Health Science, Mortuary Science or Studio Recording Major, or are not in good academic standing because of a low grade point average or excessive grades of W, you must first meet with an academic advisor before you are able to register. Thus, you will be sure to get the appropriate courses.

Please visit MyNCC/Banner to get updated information and to search the Class Schedule or Course Catalog online.

What Type of Student are you?

Continuing Students are defined as students enrolled in any term between Spring 09 and Fall 09. Most continuing students are eligible to participate in the MyNCC/Banner self-serve registration option, the student information and registration system. You will not be able to register online if you fall into one of the following categories:

    • There is a “Hold” on your registration
    • Your major cannot self –serve
    • You are currently enrolled in one remedial course and must enroll in the next remedial course:
      • Liberal Arts must see the Advisement Center prior to registration.
      • Other Majors must see their department
    • You are currently enrolled in two or more remedial courses:
      • If you are a Liberal Arts major, you must see an advisor in Student Personnel Services in Nassau Hall, Building M, Room 11. Call 516.572.7506 for advisement hours; other majors must see an advisor from your academic department.
      • Other Majors must see their department
    • You are on probation because of a low Grade Point Average. You must be advised by an Educational Counselor, Nassau Hall, Building M, Room 19. Call 516.572.7141 for advisement hours.)

Returning Students are defined as students who were enrolled during any term prior to Spring 09. If they did not attend another college or university in the interim, they must go to the Office of the Registrar for readmission. If students did attend another institution, they must go to the Office of Admissions for readmission. There is an admission fee of $40.00.

New Non-Matriculated and/or Visiting Students are defined as students who are only planning on attending for the term. Click here to print the appropriate application. Note: Anyone can register a non-matric or visiting student who is unable to do so him/herself. However, a letter of authorization is required from the student if someone else is going to drop or withdraw the student from a class.

New Matriculated Students are defined as students who are planning on following a program and will be attending the college for more than a semester and are registered for at least 6 credits.

You must log in to the system and establish your own PIN once you receive your MyNCC-ID in the mail. This must be done before you can either register online or if you have to see an advisor first, before going to advisement.
