THE SEPTEMBER 11 SCHOLARSHIP ALLIANCE LAUNCHES WEB SITE WITH GUIDANCE ON APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS.
The September 11 Scholarship Alliance website is http://www.scholarships911.org/ The Alliance coordinates scholarship funds created to assist families of people killed or permanently disabled in the terrorist attacks on America on September 11, 2001. Other eligible individuals are airplane crews and passengers, World Trade Center and Pentagon workers and visitors, and relief workers, including firefighters, law enforcement and Port Authority officers, and emergency medical personnel. Those in need follow a two-step process, first submitting a registration form and required documentation to establish eligibility, then submitting an application form for scholarship funds. Only one application need be submitted to receive consideration for most programs listed on the site.
