Nassau Community College uses a web based set of Course Tools designed to deliver instruction over the Internet. This web based system is called Blackboard Campus Edition (CE). These course tools include: email, discussion groups, basic class notes, assignments, quizzes and more. How a course is presented online depends on the content and the methods used by the instructor.
Three types of Web-based courses:
Online Courses are held entirely online. There is no class attendance.
Hybrid Courses are held mostly online, with some classroom or laboratory attendance required.
Web-Enhanced Courses require regular classroom attendance with web-based enrichment.
