Your instructor may ask you to submit your assignments electronically using the Assignment Dropbox.
Locate The Dropbox
1. Click on the Assignments tool link from the Course Tools menu. Or, your instructor may have placed the Assignments link in the Course Materials folder.
2. On the Assignments Dropbox page you will see a series of tabs:
• Inbox: assignments that still need to be turned in.
• Submitted: assignments you have turned in.
• Graded: assignments your instructor has given you a score for.
• Published: Assignments your instructor has published for the class to view.
3. Select the assignment under the Inbox tab that you would like to turn in.
Submit a Text Assignment
On the right side of the screen the assignment details are listed:
• Instructions
• Attachments – Click on the attachment title to download it.
• Due Date
• Type – This could be listed as a group or individual assignment.
• Grading Criteria – Number of points possible.
On the right side of the screen are your submission options:
1. Submission Box: This should be used for short answers.
• If you need any formatting, like paragraphs, turn on the HTML Creator which works like a word processor. You use icons on a toolbar to format text.
2. File Upload (for handing in longer responses):
• Click on Add Attachments*, locate the file, and upload it.
3. Comments: Use this area if you want to add any comments to the instructor regarding your submission.
*Add Attachments
To attach a document to your assignment submission:
1. Select the Add Attachments option. A dialog window will open.
2. Select the file you would like to upload and choose Open.
Remove an Attached Document
Select the red remove icon next to your assignment to remove the file. You can do this if you uploaded the wrong file, but have not submitted your assignment yet.
