 APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS
 
All Applicants
All applicants must complete minimum High School requirements, or Nassau Community College Change of Program requirements.
The Radiologic Technology Program accepts applications only during the Fall semester for current students (Change of Program Applicants).

Applications are accepted for students coming from outside Nassau Community College in the Fall and up until the last Friday in February.
(High School Applicants, New Applicants, and students returning to NCC after attending another college).

All qualified applicants will be interviewed by the Radiologic Technology Program Admissions Committee during the Spring semester.

Accepted applicants start the program the following Fall semester.


A minimum two hour clinical observation in a General Radiology Facility is required prior to the interview. 
Documentation of the observation on letterhead from the facility must be submitted.


High School Applicants*
An application for admission to the Radiologic Technology Program must be obtained from the Admissions Office. Call 516.572.7345/6/7.

Applications must be completed and returned to the Admissions Office by the last Friday in February.


Academic Requirements:

Rank in high school class: upper 50%.
Required high school subjects:
- one (1) year biology
- one (1) year chemistry or physics
- two (2) years academic math (algebra and above)
Minimum science and math grades: 75 and above
*Since applicants must apply by the fourth Friday in February, the High School requirements must be met prior to the start of the senior year so the Admissions Committee has finished grades to consider.
 
Nassau Change of Program Applicants
An application requesting transfer from other areas at Nassau Community College into the Radiologic Technology program can be obtained from the Allied Health Science Office, Room E-2225 starting on, or around October 1st .
Applications must be completed and returned to the Allied Health Science Office by the last day of the Fall semester.

Academic Requirements:
Eng 101 - Composition I "C" or above
Math elective (3 credits) "C" or above
AHS 131 - Anatomy & Physiology I "C" or above
Total minimum GPA: 2.5 (C+)
 

New Applicants
An application for admission to the Radiologic Technology Program must be obtained from the Admissions Office. Call 516.572.7345/6/7.

Applications must be completed and returned to the Admissions Office by the last Friday in February.

Applicants from other colleges/universities must have an average minimum GPA of 2.5(C+) from all institutions.
