APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS
All Applicants
The Radiologic Technology Program accepts applications during the Fall semester. All qualified applicants will be interviewed by the Radiologic Technology Program Admissions Committee during the Spring semester. Accepted applicants start the program the following Fall semester.
A minimum two hour clinical observation in a General Radiology Facility is required prior to the interview.
Documentation of the observation on letterhead must be submitted.
High School Requirements
Rank in high school class: upper 50%.
Required high school subjects:
- 1 year biology
- 1 year chemistry or physics
- 2 years academic math (algebra and above)
Minimum science and math grades: 75 and above
Change of area applicants
An application requesting transfer from other areas at Nassau Community College into the Radiologic Technology program can be obtained from the Allied Health Science Office, Room E2225 starting on, or around October 1st.
Applications must be completed and returned to the Allied Health Science Office by the last day of the Fall semester.
Academic Requirements:
Eng 101 - Composition I "C" or above
Math elective (3 credits) "C" or above
AHS 131 - Anatomy & Physiology I "C" or above
Total minimum GPA: 2.5 (C+)
New Applicants
