The Academic Advisement Center is the College's resource center for academic advisement. In conjunction with the liberal arts departments, it is the primary academic advisement provider for both liberal arts and undecided students, either currently attending or returning to the College. Center advisors will also meet with students from most other programs when advisement in those program areas is not available. However, students in the following specialized programs – Allied Health Sciences, Apparel Design, Commercial Art-Digital Technologies, Computer Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Interior Design, Mortuary Science, Music, Nursing, Office Technology, Paralegal Program and Studio Recording Technology – must contact an advisors in their areas. In addition, the Center is the main advisement resource for evening students.
The professional staff of the Academic Advisement Center consists of a Director, Assistant Director, full-time and part-time professional advisors and classroom faculty. It is located in Building U behind the brick College Union Building, between G and Public Safety (Security) in the South Parking Lot. |
