The Office of Advancement is responsible for raising  funds from alumni, corporations, foundations and other supporters to strengthen existing college initiatives and plan for future endeavors.

The Office of Advancement works in conjunction with the Nassau Community College Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation established to provide the "extra margin of excellence" at Nassau Community College.  Working on behalf of the College since 1983, the Foundation provides a privately controlled, independent avenue of philanthropic aid to assist in the continuing development of the College and its programs.  The primary focus of the Foundation's activities address the scholarship program.  Additionally, programs in faculty development, cultural and leadership activities are undertaken through the auspices of the Foundation.  The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of prominent members of the business and professional community, each of whom are dedicated to the goals of higher education and the success of Nassau's students.
