GEAR UP & NYGEAR UP
In collaboration with the Hempstead School District
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) provides
resources, leadership and college awareness to ensure that students achieve academic
and personal excellence, graduate from high school and enter higher education.
GEAR UP and NYGEAR UP are all-inclusive programs that offer tutoring, mentoring, counseling,
financial literacy, college tours, educational field trips, college and career advising,
parent outreach and workshops, and professional development for district staff.

LPP
In collaboration with Freeport, Hempstead, Uniondale, and Westbury School Districts
Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) identifies students enrolled in grades 5-12 who
are at-risk of dropping out and experiencing other factors affecting school performance.
The LPP Team provides support services to students including; skills assessments,
tutoring, academic and personal counseling, staff development, after school and mentoring
programs.
LPP also offers comprehensive pre-collegiate services and provides a strong alumni network of support to ensure a continued relationship with students throughout their post-secondary education.
