The Nassau Community College Center for Catholic Studies Presents A Scholarly Conference on "Youth and the Future of the Pro-Life Movement"

May 30, 2009

Garden City, NY The Nassau Community College Center for Catholic Studies invites the community to the scholarly conference Youth and the Future of the Pro-Life Movement. The conference will take place on Saturday, May 30 at 9:00 a.m. in the College Center Building.

During the conference, 20 college and high school students will make scholarly presentations on various aspects of the pro-life perspective. Professors and individuals from pro-life organizations will serve as discussants for the student presentations. In addition, three recently deceased Catholic intellectuals will be honored: Father Richard J. Neuhaus, Monsignor William B. Smith and Father Francis Canavan, S.J.

Youth and the Future of the Pro-Life Movement is co-sponsored by the NCC Center for Catholic Studies, the NCC Respect Life Group, the NCC Newman Club, University Faculty for Life (Long Island Chapter) and the Joint Parish Respect Life Committee.

This event is free and open to the public, but requires both registration and a parking permit. To register and receive a permit, contact the NCC Office of Lifelong Learning at 516.572.7472.
