"Cuentos Del Árbol (Tree Tales)" Classics For Kids at Nassau Community College January 31, 2010
Garden City, NY - "Cuentos Del çrbol" ("Tree Tales"), a Classics for Kids program at Nassau Community College, will be performed twice on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Performances will take place at 1:00 and 3:30 p.m. in the College Center Building on the NCC campus. Tickets cost $1.50 per person.
"Cuentos Del çrbol" consists of four charming Latino stories which provide a splendid fiesta of musical theatre just right for Spanish, English or bi-lingual audiences of all ages. The Pushcart Players perform the Spanish folk tales "The Garden of Golden Oranges" and "Brothers Who Were Both Wise and Foolish"; "Juan Bobo" or "Silly John" from Puerto Rico; and "Caperucita Roja" or "Red Riding Hood" told with a Latin rhythm. A spirited finale will send you home with dancing feet, clapping hands and a happy heart!
Classics for Kids is sponsored by the Nassau Community College Cultural Program. Since seating is limited, parents are urged to purchase tickets in advance. For more information, call 516.572.7153.
