Fredrick Neglia Named New Assistant Director for Public Safety at Nassau Community College

 Garden City, NY  Nassau Community College is pleased to announce that Fredrick Neglia has recently been appointed Assistant Director for Public Safety. In his position, Neglia will be responsible for coordinating the new peace officer program on campus. He will also be the liaison between the College and the Nassau County Police Department, the District Attorney's Office, the Department of Criminal Justice and other County departments.

Neglia brings a wealth of experience in law enforcement and community policing to his position. He worked for over 20 years in the New York Police Department, eventually attaining the rank of detective investigator. In addition, Neglia has done security administration consultant work for the New York Stock Exchange.

Neglia is excited about working with the College community. “It's very enjoyable to work with the young people at the College. I look forward to meeting more of them,” he said. “My co-workers in the public safety department have been extremely kind and helpful as well,” added Neglia.

Neglia lives in Wantagh with his wife Ann. The couple has three grown children.
