Nassau Community College Remembers 9/11

Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College invites the community to join members of its faculty, staff and students at a special ceremony on September 11, 2007 remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11. The remembrance ceremony will begin at 8:15 a.m. at the Brick Inscription Wall located adjacent to Cluster A fountain. In case of rain, the program will take place in the College Center Building. During the event, NCC President Dr. Sean Fanelli will speak and representative students will place a ceremonial wreath near the inscription wall. Bells will also chime at specific times between 8:46 a.m. and 10:28 a.m. coinciding with events as they occurred on that fateful day, as will formal observances by the Public Safety Department Honor Guard. The public is welcome to come to any part or all of the remembrance ceremony.
