To help you get the most out of your Nassau experience, we've prepared an informative and enjoyable New Student Orientation program. You must register for classes before you can sign up for Orientation!
Orientation will start in the CCB Building Multipurpose Room.
Orientation is Mandatory! It will ease your transition to college, help you learn about Nassau, give you a chance to meet your classmates, and provide some ideas about how to do well in your classes and have a good time in college. There's a lot to take in, which is why you absolutely must attend!
How do I sign up for Orientation?
1. Go to the NCC Website.
2. Select My NCC.
3. Select My NCC Portal.
4. Login with your Banner number and PIN. (N00______)
5. Look under my Launch Pad on the left hand side.
6. Scroll down until you see Schedule Orientation.
7. Click on the icon and select date and time.
You will receive an email confirmation in your NCC email account.
*** If you decide to change your date or time for orientation, you must go back to Schedule Orientation, select Remove on your previous date and time and then select DeleteReservation, only then will you be allowed to select a different date or time
You must sign up for one session!Orientation dates and times are January 10th, one at 9:30 a.m. and one at 1:00 p.m.

ORIENTATION Quick FAQ
When will Orientation take place?
New Student Orientation for spring 2017 will take place on Tuesday January 10th, one at 9:30 am and one a 1p.m. Orientation will begin in CCB Ballroom . Once you register for classes you will be able to select one of those sessions by logging on to your NCC Banner Account. An Orientation Icon will appear under your launch pad and you must select one of these dates and times. . For more information, call 516.572.7148.
Can I bring guests, parents or children?
No. Guests, parents and children are not allowed to stay with you throughout the program. Orientation is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet and mingle with their classmates. There will be a separate Orientation for parents and family members in early September. Look for your invitation to this program.
How long does the Orientation program run?
Plan to spend about 2 1/2 - 3 hours on campus for the full Orientation experience. During this time, you'll learn all about the College (including how to do well in your classes), meet other students, tour the campus, have a meal with your Orientation leaders, and go home with some useful NCC publications and other cool stuff.
How do I get to the NCC Campus?
You can access directions to the campus here. The directions and maps on the web site provide links to the Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad, NYC Transit, and NICE Bus.
