"D" Status Online Retention Strategies
Follow Up Session
The Center for Educational and Retention Counseling (CERC) is concerned about your academic performance; our goal is your retention and graduation. We initiated the "D" status workshops (Retention Strategies Sessions) to give you the skills to help remove the "D" probationary status.
As a follow up to the workshop you attended in the previous semester, we would like to gather information to see if you applied what you learned in the Retention Strategies Session workshop. As a student on probation the college has a policy that places a Hold on your ability to register because of your "D" status. To remove the Hold you must complete the survey below. It is to remind you about what you can do now, to get better grades and again, become a student in good academic standing. We wish you success in the pursuit of your degree and hope that you take advantage of the resources which are available to you.
- A college policy places a HOLD on your ability to register for your next semester courses, because of your D status.
- To remove the HOLD you must complete the survey below.
- Once the survey has been completed the HOLD on your record will be released within 24 hours. Then you will be able to self register up to your credit limit (11.5 credits).
IF YOU ARE REGISTERED WITH THE CENTER FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES (CSD) YOU ARE TO MEET WITH YOUR CSD COUNSELOR TO RELEASE THE HOLD ON YOUR RECORD (CALL 516.572.7241).

- Complete all of the questions asked in the survey.
- Click "Done" at the end of the survey.
You may first print the survey before you click Done.
- A confirmation of your completion of the survey will be submitted to the CERC office.
