Academic Probation

Students are placed on academic probation because they have not met the minimum grade point average required to be a full-time student in good standing.  Student on academic probation are limited to part-time study and may register for a maximum of 11.5 credits. They are also in danger of academic dismissal.

Prior to registration students are encouraged to see a counselor in the Center for Educational and Retention Counseling (CERC).  This is a serious matter that requires time to discuss and find solutions to your academic situation. Nassau Community College places great importance on helping students achieve success.

Students registered with the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) are to meet with their CSD counselor.

To make an appointment with a CERC Counselor go to Nassau Hall (Bldg. M), Room 4, or call 516.572.7141.
