Nassau Community College Announces In-State Tuition Rates for Puerto Rican-based and US Virgin Islands College Students

 

Garden City, NY – The Nassau Community College Board of Trustees will consider a resolution to offer in-state tuition to students from Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands whose lives have been devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Said NCC President Dr. W. Hubert Keen, "I am pleased to announce the offer of in-state tuition rates to those students from Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands whose lives have been devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. I want to thank the Board of Trustees for considering this resolution at its next meeting so that we can extend a helping hand to those students in great need at this time."

Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Jorge L. Gardyn added, "Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands residents have suffered devastating blows to their entire way of life. We at Nassau Community College want to extend a helping hand to our Puerto Rican and US Virgin Islands neighbors by offering in-state tuition. While the infrastructure of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands is rebuilt, we are pleased to reduce the burdens for these students."
