Eleven NCC Students Receive SUNY Chancellor's Awards

To qualify for the award, students were reviewed by a College committee for academic excellence and record of service to NCC and the community. “We are very proud of our outstanding students, who have worked hard and contributed so greatly to the College and the community,” said Dr. Donald Astrab, President of Nassau Community College.

The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence was created 14 years ago to recognize students who have best demonstrated, and have been recognized for, the integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts or career achievement. The average grade point average for all recipients this year is 3.8.
